All SIM Cards Which Are Not Re-Registered By March 31, 2022 Will Be Blocked - Ursula Owusu

Ursula Owusu Ekuful who is Ghana's Minister ofCommunication has warned that all mobile SIM cardswhich are not re-registered by March 31, 2022, will beblocked.

The minister in a Facebook post said the re-

registration of SIM begins on October 1, 2021, and willcontinue for six months.

She, therefore, urged Ghanaians to all re-register theirSIM cards to avoid the unpleasant experience ofhaving their SIMs blocked.

The exercise will allow the country to monitor andtrack down persons who use their phones for criminalactivities, as well as rid the country's cyberspace offraud.
