Four arrested over instant justice at Brekum - A lesson to all youth 

The Aduana family of Tepa has caused the arrest of four people for their involvement in the instant justice that caused the critical injuries of Roland Kwarteng in Brekum. Roland Kwarteng who is still at the intensive care unit of the Sunyani Regional Hospital is still fighting to be alive after he was mercilessly beaten on the 4 of May 2021. Kwarteng was home on the 3 of May when someone called him to come and inspect his building for him. Kwarteng is a POP builder and designer who designs all kinds of POP ceiling for client's who wants their ceiling to be made in style. He had received the call on Monday but couldn't do it that day because of a job he was handling on Monday, and rescheduled the Brekum job to Tuesday morning the 4. Kwarteng had prepared and inspected the job on the morning of Tuesday as he arrived in Brekum on time.

Anthony the owner of the building wanted the job to be done in a fast manner as his children were arriving from overseas and gave Kwarteng all the money he needed to buy the tools and other required materials he was going to use to do the job as he gave the estimate for the man on the morning of Tuesday. Kwarten knows Brekum but was still a foreigner in the town as he took the money and went in search of shops where he was going to get the materials needed to start the job. Anthony wanted the job completed in two weeks and didn't want to waste time as he forced Kwarteng to buy all the things he needed in Brekum and start the job.

Kwarteng had asked for direction to the market square where paints and other materials he was going to need was been sold there. Neither did he knew those he asked for direction was targeting him. As Kwarteng was going, he heard a voice from behind calling someone a thief and before he could turn back, a group of four people had surrounded him beating him for stealing their money. The group started beating him while he kept shouting for not been a thief and because he was a foreigner in the town, people barely came to his aid as the group continued beating him. Kwarteng would have been beaten to death if not for a fire serviceman Duah who was going to work and saw the group beating the man for stealing their money.

Duah rescued Kwarteng after people stood by with their phones doing nothing as they watched the man been beaten to death. Duah took Kwarteng to the Brekum hospital but was referred to the Sunyani Regional Hospital because of the critical state he was in. Kwarteng was still at the hospital in coma state whiles Duah helped the family and Anthony who called Kwarteng from Tepa to Brekum, to look and arrest the four people. The four had even shared the money they seized from Kwarteng which was meant to buy his materials to work on Anthony's house and spent almost half of the money. The four had been denied bail and will be arranged to the Brekum Circuit Court this morning.
