Osei Kufuor tells worse story in the wake of operation Fix The Country

In a series of tweets from Ghanaians on Twitter in response to an update by Citinewsroom about the ordeals people go through in the health sector due to its under-development, Osei Kufuor, a Project Management consultant reveals an unimaginable encounter he had with the Ministery of Health.

According to Kufuor, he had the opportunity to acquire a warehouse full of new hospital beds in the USA. They were willing to give these beds to any country in Africa. As patriotic as he is, he contacted the Ministry of Health to arrange for the receipt of the items.

Unfortunately, the ministry responded that he has to pay all the duties for the importation. As a result, he turned to Nigeria who cleared all duties and received the beds.

The revelation, as a matter of fact, has broken a lot of hearts on social media. Netizens can’t understand why such an act couldn’t attract zero duties when the country is not paying a pesewa for them.

Below are some of the reactions to the issue; “But they will give duty-free to their friends and family who import for business,” said Shokora Gordons.

“When we say fix the country these are some of the things, but fools find it too hard to comprehend,” says Nana Chapter Hennessey
