Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has said that it will take time for the government to fully bring the economy back on track. He said Ghana’s economy was attacked by the COVID-19 pandemic and it will take a while for it to heal again. The minister was reportedly speaking with media people in Wa, where he also stated that the government cannot shoulder all the responsibilities alone and needs help from the citizenry. Read more: 
For this reason, the minister said it was in the right place for the government to introduce one or two taxes to help generate revenue. Read more:
