- A 13-member gang have been busted for their involved in the printing and distribution of fake currency notes

 - Their victims are mostly unsuspecting foreign nationals

 - They were busted on Monday, April, 27, 2021 at around 5:30pm by National Security operatives OUR MANIFESTO: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in The National Security has busted a 13-member gang involved in the printing and distribution of fake currency notes to unsuspecting victims, mostly foreign nationals. The gang leader, Yassei Alia, a 45-year-old Syrian who resides in East Legon, and owns Hardford Auto Service in was arrested together with Danjuma Zakaria, alias Alhaji Mohammed, 49. They were rounded up in a warehouse within the premises of NacCharter Cargo and Freight Company, near KLM offices within the Kotoka International Airport. Read more: 

They were busted on Monday, April, 27, 2021 at around 5:30pm by National Security operatives. During their arrest, freshly printed $10,000 bundles of fake $100 notes were retrieved from the warehouse concealed in two large metal trunks and a suitcase. Read more: 

A statement issued by the National Security noted that the amount was estimated to be over five million United States Dollars (USD). The statement however noted that, they lured unsuspecting victims with claims that they had access to millions of US dollars in Libya, The gang leader, Yassei, indicated that he had gone to the warehouse to have a discussion with one Kojo, regarding a V8 engine. Alhaji Mohammed on the other hand, stated that he had gone to solicit for financial help from Kojo to enable him procure a vehicle from Holland.
