A recent press release by the Kumasi City Market limited has made it public that, Kejetia will be closed down by tomorrow due to the recent fire outbreak incident which occurred today, May 11, 2021 about 6:30 pm.

According to the recent press release, the incident occurred when about 80% of the shops at Kejetia had closed as the smoke which triggered the firefighting system was detected from store number F 0956.

In view of this, Kejetia is said to be closed down from tomorrow morning, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 till 11am where the market will be reopened for business as highlighted by management and appropriate authorities in order to assess the situation and take remedial measures.
