 14-Year-Old Head Porter Recounts her Tedious Daily Hustle in Emotional Video

- 14-year-old Valentina Roberts, a girl who works at Agbogbloshie Market as a head porter has recounted her daily hustle in an emotional video

 - According Valentina, she wakes up at dawn each day, dreading the neck pains as well as abuses she will endure during the day 

- When asked what she would rather prefer to do, Valentina said she would rather like to learn sewing 

Valentina Roberts, a 14-year-old Ghanaian girl who works as a head porter at Agbogbloshie has narrated how she goes about her daily life hustle that earns just a little amount of money.

 In a video report by JoyNews, it was revealed that Valentina stays in the same room with 11 other girls who do the same work, along with all their belongings. As early as 3:30 am, the hardworking young girl and her friends go out to start carrying heavy loads for their customers who mostly end up shortchanging them. 

"We are also cheated by our customers most of the time. We agree on a high price like GHc 10 but after carrying the load, they give us 4 or 5 cedis", she said. 

According to Valentina, one of the biggest traumas she dreads is the pain of carrying heavy loads that would hurt her neck during the day and also suffer from abuses. 

When asked what work she desires to do, Valentina said: "I want to work hard and acquire my own sewing machine so that I can go through the apprenticeship training and leave this work"
