Focus on making MUSIGA better instead of questioning craft of dancehall artistes - OB Fires Bessa
- Radio Presenter, OB Nartey, has denounced Bessa Simons for his comments about Dancehall/Reggae in Ghana
- During a recent interview, Bessa stated that the likes of Shatta Wale, Samini, and Stonebwoy are not original
- Nartey questioned the essence of making a comment like that instead of striving for unity in the music industry
Radio Presenter, OB Amoah, has criticised highlife legend, Bessa Simons for saying that Shatta Wale, Samini, and Stonebwoy are not original dancehall artistes.
During the discussion section on Entertainment Review on Peace 104.3 FM, OB Amoah questioned the essence of making a statement like that.
A few days ago, Simons, who is the acting President of the Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) stated on Asempa FM that there are no original reggae and dancehall artistes in Ghana.
"I think this is the time someone aspiring to be MUSIGA president should be looking at comments, issues that would help MUSIGA. At this time, when the association has issues around it. And for someone aspiring to lead the association, this is the time to bring everyone together," said Nartey.
"Let's talk about issues that would upgrade the association. What sense is in the stuff that he said?"
